Born 1997
Based in Cumbria, UK
Marisa Crane’s practice is researched based and explores a somatic understanding of temporality, memory, and spaces; and often with a sense of feminine resistance and humour. Often using reclaimed materials- it is the material which often dictates what her pieces will become as they have story, a history, an energy, of their own which intertwines with hers. The material is the meaning.
